I like photographing individuals in unusual ways, whether it is an out-of-character pose or in an unusual place. The Urban Session came about while I was scouting out locations for a photo shoot. I discovered that my bucolic rural community had little pockets of ‘urban feel’ scattered around it. These are not your typical portraits one finds in a farming and outdoor recreational mecca. But I think they made me a better photographer by stretching my range visually.
