Milo – the ever patient model

October and November have been busy months; getting all the Christmas presents done for clients. Of course the draw-back to this time of year is that I can not post photos that will be presents. It kind of spoils it for people.

I was lucky enough to have a photo shoot with the ever patient Milo. He is a really cutie, very hansom and fit for a 13 1/2 year old Jack Russell Terrier.

I just love shooting him!

Tie One on for C.A.P. Event – October 2, 2015

Just got back from a marvelous evening of fabulous music, food and friends. A super fundraising event in support of Community Animal Projects.
The brainchild of Lori Paul from Spider Lodge with help from Marion of Marion’s Closet and a group of dedicated volunteers the evening included a gift basket draw from Oly’s Pet Connection, a 50/50 draw (The winner very kindly donated the money back to CAP), a silent auction of vintage and unique ties, bow ties and other accessories. Also Lori sold off some of her collection of ties.

Just a couple of the marvelous entertainers for the evening

Fraser the Fantastic

I was lucky enough to spend the weekend with this little cutie. His name is Fraser, I like to call him Fraser the Fantastic because he is fantastically friendly to every person and dog he meets.
A friend and I took Fraser up to Deer Lake for a little walk in nature on a beautiful sunny September afternoon. He was so happy to just be out and about and it shows on his little face.

Georgie in the Park

My good friend, Brenda, and I took a walk down to the park the other day to do a little  photographic exploration when we meet this little cutie named Georgie. Georgie is a 5 month old ball of energy and furry. We couldn’t tell which end was which with him, but he was definitely cute.
Georgie’s person was kind enough to let us photograph and play with him for about a 1/2 hour. As you can see by the photos, trying to get a 5 month old pup to cooperate is not as easy as it sounds. Every time we got down to his level to get a photo he rushed over and stuck his nose in our lenses.
Brenda was his fave and she struggled to get the shots because he wouldn’t leave her a lone. Finally she gave up and just cuddled him.
You just have to love him.

Hansom Ronald’s Adoption Photos

I was fortunate to be asked to take a few photos of Ronald, a very loving, energetic and vocal tabby. He is up for adoption with Community Animal Projects (CAP) and they required some photos for his adoption profile. (email me if you are interested in adopting him, I can put you in touch with the CAP).

His photo session was a blast! Once he realized the big black box (camera) wasn’t going to hurt him he became very comfortable and started ‘hamming it up’ for the camera. At one point he even dug through his ‘condo’ and dragged out his favourite toy, a stuffed blue football. He started tossing the football around and chasing it and finally he flopped on his side, bunny kicked it for awhile, then hugged and cuddled it. It was so cute! He definitely loves his football.

Introducing Ink Dot’s New and Improved Website

Hello Everyone!

Well, 2015 is almost half over – it’s finally time to launch of my updated website!

What’s so great about this website you ask?! First off, it works, LOL!  I now have a place to exhibit my photos, blog about things that are important to my friends, my clients and me. I have a place to offer helpful photography hints to people and keep you informed about promotions or events that I am offering or participating in.

As I work out all the particulars with this website and blog, please bear with me! I would love to hear from you; your comments, things you would like to see, and any questions you may have about me, my work or about the site.

My plan is to post at least once a month (I am hoping to actually do more than that but I like starting with low expectations, LOL!).

You can keep up-to-date with everything ‘Ink Dot’ on Facebook (Ink Dot Design & Photography) or at this site. You can send me your comments/requests on e-mail at inkdot@shaw.ca or through the contact section of this website!

2015 bookings are already in full swing, so if you are looking for a creative, fun, outgoing photographer specializing in people and pets, contact me today.  (I do other types of photography as well, LOL)  I offer free consultations for us (and/or your furry family members) to get to know each another, go over the details of your session and hopefully build a long-lasting relationship!

I’m looking forward to 2015 and I hope you are a part of it.

Cheers
Jennifer
